COVID-19
We appreciate the situation surrounding COVID-19 is very fluid and can change day to day. We are, however, committed to doing our best for our students and teachers, while ensuring Stewart Dance Studios remains a safe and happy place to come and share the love of dance.
With continuing guidance from the Ministry of Health, classes will still be held at the studio.
We're doing our part
-
Along with limited use, barres and door handles will be cleaned with disinfectant after each class
-
We have asked our teachers to remove partner work
-
Physical contact between dancers, and teachers, will be avoided where possible
-
There will be minimal to no use of props and other equipment. Where props are used, these will be cleaned after use
-
More frequent cleaning of the studio will also take place
What you can do to help
-
We ask that parents drop off their children, where possible, and that siblings not enrolled remain at home.
-
If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and rest up
-
Try and avoid close contact with others who are sick
-
Thoroughly wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds
-
Cough or sneeze into your elbow
-
All drink bottled must be named
-
Stay calm and informed
Further measures
-
For any dancers that attend a school where there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19, we respectfully request that you do not come to class during the 72 hour period your school is closed
-
Anyone that is identified as a close-contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, we request you do not attend classes during your 14 day self-isolation
The timetable is also being reviewed, to assess what classes need to be split into two separate class times, to reduce the number of dancers in the studio. A second class time will be advised for the affected classes once confirmed.
With everything out there in the media, please make sure we're sticking to the facts, rather than rumours. Our dancers hear what's discussed in reception and the viewing areas.
The New Zealand Government has set up a website which has everything you need to know about COVID-19, all in one place. You can also contact the Ministry of Health Healthline team on 0800 358 5453, for advice and information.
Thank you for your continued patience and support during this time.
