COVID-19: What we're doing to help

Here are a few things we're doing to help ensure Stewart Dance Studios remains a safe and happy place to come and share the love of dance. After being in contact with other dance studios, we are taking the same approach, along with following Ministry of Health guidelines. As of today, classes will continue as normal, with the below measures in place.

We're doing our part
  • Along with limited use, barres will be cleaned with disinfectant after each class

  • We have asked our teachers to remove partner work

  • Physical contact between dancers, and teachers, will be avoided where possible

  • There will be minimal to no use of props and other equipment. Where props are used, these will be cleaned after use

  • More frequent cleaning of the studio will also take place

What you can do to help
  • If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and rest up

  • Try and avoid close contact with others who are sick

  • Thoroughly wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow

  • Stay calm and informed

With everything out there in the media, please make sure we're all sticking to the facts, rather than rumours. Our dancers hear what's being discussed in the reception and viewing areas. The Ministry of Health regularly updates its website with the most up-to-date information. We strongly recommend you take a look if you have any questions.

The New Zealand Government has also set up a new website with a lot of great information to help us unite against COVID-19.

You can also contact the MoH Healthline team on 0800 358 5453, for COVID-19 health advice and information. We appreciate this is a fluid situation that can change day to day, however, we are committed to doing our best to keep our students and teachers as safe as possible. Sarah + Scott
